Common or Drug Fumitory / Earth Smoke (Fumaria officinalis) (06/06/2021) Southbank Equestrian, Henfield (arena bank). This genus is one of the hardest to differentiate a species from one another. Luckily I know what I planted on the arena bank! So I know these are Common Fumitory. The think to look at apart from the flower colour, is the shape and size of the sepals - see later images.

Common Ramping Fumitory which is anyway not what I sowed here, has broader sepals than this Common Fumitory, as does Dense-Flowered Fumitory.
